Peaches, gorgeous peaches.

Nothing signals the start of summer like a beautiful crop of local peaches. I spotted these lovelies at Whole Foods yesterday from the Pearson Family Farm. Pearson’s peaches have been getting a lot of local love lately. Seems they are a favorite of local artisan producers like Emily G’s Jams of Love, whom I will be profiling an upcoming “Food Finds” column for Creative Loafing. Get ’em while they’re peachy.

Thanks for the link to Pearson’s. Lovin’ “Mary’s Recipe Box”! 🙂

King of Pops was using Pearson peaches in his Peach Basil pops this weekend as well.

For me I prefer Dickey Farms out of Musella better than Pearson, but i don’t think there is anywhere around Atlanta that carries them.

I prefer Ogeechee peaches. They are at a few farmer’s markets (Marietta and FARM at least). Their peaches are sweeter, and they’re more generous with the same priced bags.

I just got two Pearson peaches from The Fresh Market down here in Macon, GA and they were lovely!!

I live near Pearson farms as well as Lane’s peach packing shed.. the best peaches are in middle Georgia!

    Also, peach icecream. Holy Crow!
