Channeling the wino: Simonnet-Febvre Crémant de Bourgogne Brut Rosé

I don’t really drink booze. Really. It’s my one true foodie shame. I just don’t like the taste of most alcohol. That being said, there are certain things that I can’t resist. A gorgeous rose sparkling wine is one of them. Moon is always scouting good ones. He found an awesome, albeit expensive one for our anniversary a few weeks ago, but it’s too pricey for a daily consumption. This Simonnet-Febvre Crémant de Bourgogne Brut Rosé, however, is a nice price at around $17 and you can grab it at Green’s.

It’s got load of fresh strawberry on the tongue and is a tad acidic.  It’s not too yeasty, but still full-bodied enough so it won’t get lost when paired with some before dinner nibbles.

And, of course, serving it in my favorite vintage champagne glasses found on makes the bubbly go down so much smoother.
