One month down and 2015 seems to be shaping up as the biggest year in recent memory for the Atlanta food scene. A lot is coming down the pipeline, but which places deserve your attention? In the coming months, we’ll see efforts from local talent with an emphasis on community, out of town talent betting on Atlanta, old pros opening concepts, and the debut of many mixed-use developments with a big focus on food. I also predict — and hope — we will see more technology being integrated into restaurants this year, customizable lunch options like Chipotle’s new concept, Pizzeria Locale, where you design your own pizza, more mocktails and craft sodas, and possibly, the rise in our city of restaurant tickets where you pay ahead of time for your meal.

With the opening of mixed-use developments Krog Street Market, and Ponce City Market among many others like Avalon in Alpharetta and even the renewed food options at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, Atlanta is building on our suburban mall culture of yesterday to make us a leading culinary city of tom.
