Yet another post about Savor Specialty Foods

Savor remains one of my favorite gourmet food stores in Atlanta. I was thrilled when they opened in a much larger location in the Peachtree Battle Shopping Center a couple of years ago. Parking is much more abundant and the product assortment has grown. I love how easy it is to just pop in a grab a sandwich when you are in Buckhead, which is just plain starved for good lunch spots. I was especially thrilled when they started selling H&F Bread Company breads in the store after H&F closed its retail location (R.I.P.). At least I have a place to get the bread when I can’t make it to the Peachtree Road Farmers’ Market. And Savor is doing some fun things with H&F’s goodies. Meet one of my new favorite items: the H&F Biscuit of the day.
Seriously…how can a biscuit-loving glutton resist this redunkulously buttery, flaky and ham-y goodness? I couldn’t leave without one even though I’d just gobbled down my favorite sandwich: The Paris, a baguette slathered with soft butter from Normandy and filled with Gruyere, French ham, and sliced cornichons.
It remains one of my favorite sandwiches in Atlanta after all these years. J’Adore!
