The Wine Shoe: Castleberry Hill

The Wine Shoe opened in Castleberry Hill (my hood) a while back. Moon calls it a “weird store,” but I think it’s a convenient addition to the neighborhood when you don’t feel like trekking to another store. Just don’t go expecting to discover any obscure finds.

What they do have is chilled bottles of sparkling on hand if you are in a pinch and they offer loads of wine classes. There is also a super cute–and friendly–puppy that hangs out in the store every day. Check it out next time you are in the area and let me know what you think.

I’ve been there before, as they are the only retailer in Atlanta that carry a particular grower Champagne that my wife and I really enjoy.

I love the atmosphere and think they have a neat space to hold an event, which I know they do.

Definitely worth checking out in my opinion.

I used to live on Peters St. One of the early conversions, I guess, because there was hardly anything there at the time but junk filled unoccupied bldgs and hawkers laying in wait at the garage door. Sounds like I need to head over there and check it out on the next date night.

What a great place. Wonderful atmosphere. If the store is not open, call the proprietors, they are in the neighborhood.
