Tasty television: "Jamie at Home"

I have been down on The Food Network for a while. The shows have gotten soooo boring and kitschy. But, Jamie Oliver’s new show, “Jamie at Home,” is refreshing. I have always been a fan of his mostly because of his relaxed style (he is sitting down most of the time) and simple preparations of seasonal ingredients. Check out the trailer:
And, a video of him making lamb kofta kebabs (one of my favorite summertime grilling dishes):
There is a companion book coming out soon which you can pre-order at

I love Oliver’s shows. I only wish that I could cook as well as he does, especially since he makes it look effortless.

I thought I saw his new book in Borders the other day. There was even a package where you could purchase a spice shaker along with a book. Maybe it wasn’t the “new” one?

That lamb kofta screen cap looks like something from a Seventies porno.

Actually, there is a UK version of the cook book out right now, but it would be a real pain in the ass to convert all those temps & measures…! I’ll wait until the fall.
