Rumi’s Kitchen: Atlanta

My friend, E., suggested we go for lunch the other day. I had it my list for quite some time and was excited to finally see how it was. They brought out the traditional flat breads and herbs to start. They make their own flat bread in their wood-burning oven and it is divine. I ordered the koobideh kabob (pictured below) and it was great. Moist meat and that saffron rice was just lovely. Buttery and hard to stop eating. I went there another night and go the grilled quail which had been marinated in a saffron and lemon sauce. Another success. The prices are also a main draw. $11 for the massive plate you see below. Cannot beat that. Check it out…you will not be sorry.

Good pictures and good article. Thanks.
Went to Rumi’s last night on your tip, Blissful Glutton, and it was a delight! Food is excellent, portions are generous, atmosphere is elegant but casual–and the waitress gave us plenty of time to savor our appetizer (the smoky eggplant dip–yum) before bringing out the entrees.
How does Byblos compare?
