Royal China: Chamblee

posted on January 10, 2006 at 8:39 am

RESTAURANT REVIEW:
I went to Royal China for lunch on Saturday. I am not a big fan of the dim-sum there but my BF has a thing for their curry squid. I always end up ordering something from the menu since the dishes are normally pretty good. I saw a lobster battle between two Chinese chefs on Iron Chef the night before so I was craving some spicy wok-fried lobster. We got this lobster in spicy black bean sauce and it was very good. A bit messy to eat but well-worth the effort.

The curry squid there is among the best dishes anywhere in Atlanta. And in fact, Royal China is the only dim sum place I have found anywhere in the world that prepares this dish.
