Pricci Italian Restaurant: Buckhead

RESTAURANT REVIEW:
Atlanta’s pizza options are seriously lacking. I am not talking about your standard Fellini’s fare but a nice wood-fired pizza Margherita. I’ve tried everywhere…Baraonda, Brio, Osteria 832, Fritti and Woodfire Grill. Pricci’s version is still one of my favorites. Yeah, I know the place is swarming with pocket-square wearing waspy types looking to feel hip. But you can get it to go which is what I always do. For $9, you can get a perfectly crisp and flavorful pizza. I always get mine with an arugula salad which is lightly dressed with lemon, olive oil, and shaved parmesan ($7). They’ll also throw in a basket of bread with a goat cheese and marina dip for free if you ask for it.

When I went I thought the dip they brought was a mascarpone kind of thing.

The "goat cheese and marinara" dip at Pricci is referred to as goat cheese, to make it sound fancy, but it's actually 100% philly cream cheese. I used to work there, so I know.
