Peaches, gorgeous peaches.

Nothing signals the start of summer like a beautiful crop of local peaches. I spotted these lovelies at Whole Foods yesterday from the Pearson Family Farm. Pearson’s peaches have been getting a lot of local love lately. Seems they are a favorite of local artisan producers like Emily G’s Jams of Love, whom I will be profiling an upcoming “Food Finds” column for Creative Loafing. Get ‘em while they’re peachy.

Thanks for the link to Pearson’s. Lovin’ “Mary’s Recipe Box”!
King of Pops was using Pearson peaches in his Peach Basil pops this weekend as well.
For me I prefer Dickey Farms out of Musella better than Pearson, but i don’t think there is anywhere around Atlanta that carries them.
I prefer Ogeechee peaches. They are at a few farmer’s markets (Marietta and FARM at least). Their peaches are sweeter, and they’re more generous with the same priced bags.
I just got two Pearson peaches from The Fresh Market down here in Macon, GA and they were lovely!!
I live near Pearson farms as well as Lane’s peach packing shed.. the best peaches are in middle Georgia!
Also, peach icecream. Holy Crow!
