M!X: Atlanta

Went for a quick bite this weekend. We were not very hungry and wanted something small. We walked in around 8 on a Saturday and easily got a table. All of our food was so salty it was almost inedible. The squid was over-cooked and tough. The salad with the carpaccio was overdressed. The salty pesto ruined the flavor and texture of the burrata which I prefer simply-prepared. The potato doughnuts had been cooked hours ago and were stale and so hard you could not even cut them with the provided spoon. They had run out of bread by 8 on a Saturday. They poured regular coffee in my espresso cup and tried to pass it off as the real deal. I could go on. The concept is good but the execution is flawed. It seems like they need to decide what kind of place the restaurant is going to be. I felt like it was trying too hard to be hip and just not worth the hype.

Actually since I got time, in honor of WAP, let me do a quick thread of Black women from the past who were very raunchy.

Put headphones on.

Ready, lovelies?

Let's get it.
