Miette Patisserie: San Francisco (Ferry Building)

MIette: San francisco
Casualties of the dot-com crash, Miette Patisserie (Miette means little crumb in French) started out by selling their wares at farmers’ markets around the Bay area. Their store, which has been open for many years, is a testament that these baking divas have definitely rebounded quite nicely. They even opened a candy shop in Hayes Valley (a neighborhood of San Francisco) in 2007. The Ferry Building store actually looks like a precious pastry and I can’t say I have ever have anything bad here. Used to love their scones and their cakes were my go-to gift when I was heading to someone’s house for a dinner party. I had a cupcake while I was walking through and it was still good as ever. You can now order select items from their webstore if the craving strikes and view their drool-inducing cake gallery here.

yum! I adore miette!! The Ferry Bldg is a must destination for me, weekends or lunch break. Worth a trip to SF just for the macarons alone!
