Les Dames d’Escoffier 6th Annual Afternoon in the Country

What a beautiful day it was. A lovely farm setting and picture-perfect weather. All of the culinary heavy-hitters came out to strut their stuff at the 6th Annual event hosted by Les Dames d’Escoffier at Serenbe Farms in Palmetto, GA. Les Dames aims to support women in the culinary field and the proceeds from the day went to their organization.

It was such a warm event. It felt like one big family getting together for a reunion. I got to try some food from restaurants I had not been to or others that had just opened. Just one deliciously gorgeous day. You must make this event next year or at least pay a visit to the farm which has a restaurant and comfortable accommodations.
Here are some photos for your enjoyment:

Serenbe’s restaurant’s offering. Slow-cooked pig with homemade BBQ sauce.
Bella Cucina’s spread. Those are flatbreads are addictive (and expensive).
Chef Anne Quatrano of Bacchanalia.
Chef Quatrano’s offering: Mini apple pies with candied fennel and ice cream.
Rathbun’s panna cotta.
Saga’s beets and goat cheese. A refreshing burst of flavor in a short-rib heavy day.Chef Jeremy Lieb of Trois. He was serving foie gras with a doughnut chaser. Amazing flavors.
Chef Linton Hopikins of Restaurant EugeneChef Joe Truex of re-past restaurant.
Chef Shaun Doty’s offering of San Marzano tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. I am a sucker for grilled cheese and tomato soup.
Park 75’s “lobster pot pies.”
