Food Find: Lamb kabobs at Buford Highway Farmers Market
I’ve been doing a lot of my shopping at Buford Highway Farmers Market lately–especially after the massive renovation that the family-owned market underwent last year. I could list a Food Find here every day since I always discover something new on each visit.
My latest discovery?
These ground lamb kabobs in the glass-enclosed meat case:
I grilled them in my cast-iron grill pan the other night and served alongside some soft bread, Israeli salad and a few different spicy Indian pickles. A tip: Make sure you salt the kabobs very well, because the kabobs–while seasoned well with many herbs and spices–have very little (if any) salt.
The flavor of the lamb isn’t *too* intense and there is a nice amount of fat, which means they stayed moist when grilled. The best part? My family went wild for them. They’re definitely in our lazy night dinner rotation.

yum! i was wondering, what kind of cast iron grill pan is that? would you recommend t?
It’s a Le Creuset. I love mine, but Lodge makes a similar grill pan that is much much cheaper and just as good.
thanks for the tip! one more item for the dream kitchen wishlist
Ive always wanted to have one of those grill pans 🙂 The kabobs looks delicious
