Food find: Just Veggin’ sandwich at Lottafrutta

This is not my first post on the Just Veggin’ sammie at Lottafrutta, but I finally remembered to take a photo the last time I went. Why do I love this sandwich so much? The slightly sweet bread, creamy havarti, sprouts, cucumber, tomato and avocado wake me up when I am feeling weighed down by a week of too much greasy food and meat. It also comes with a small container of the chulpe (toasted corn). I like to get it with an order of the Limonatta, a big cup of fruits and veggies with lime juice and guajillo chile powder. The sandwich never lasts me past Dekalb Avenue because I gobble it up so quickly. Love it.

Hi! I’ve been reading your blog for a few weeks, and this is the first time I’ve taken one of your recommendations.

The bread was as tasty as advertised, but I think you got waaaay more tomato and guac/avocado than I did. Mine had minuscule, paper-thin slices of tomato, and more of a condiment of avocado rather than a sandwich-filling amount. It was still tasty, but I wish I’d gotten the one in your picture instead!

Hello! A friend of mine has been reading your blog and so we decided to check out Lottafrutta. The food was amazing! She had the Just Veggin’ sandwich and I had the Hav to Hami it and I added tomato and avocado to it. It was scrumptious! We also shared the Limonatta cup and it was divine. We were there yesterday and I have already told 4 people about it 🙂
