Edna Lewis

I just got an email from Bailey Barash, a local documentary film maker, who made a film about the late Edna Lewis called “Fried Chicken and Sweet Potato Pie.

The film is mentioned in the latest issue of Gourmet Magazine which is about Southern food and features an article about Edna Lewis and recipes by Scott Peacock.

You can view the documentary through January on Gourmet’s website or on the Georgia Public Broadcasting site C-47.

If you have not gotten the new issue of Gourmet, pick it up. It is worth the price and wonderful to see how Edna Lewis continues to educate people about Southern food even after her passing. The woman was truly amazing. I wish I could have had the privilege of meeting her.
