Chef Linton Hopkins named one of Food & Wine Magazine’s Best New Chefs of 2009

Congratulations are definitely in order! Chef Linton Hopkins has been named as one Food & Wine Magazine’s Best New Chefs for 2009. Here is the blurb:

Linton Hopkins

When Linton Hopkins was a kid, his mom once refused to make him hollandaise sauce for his eggs—so he prepared it himself, with a recipe from Julia Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking. Hopkins still has the (egg-stained) cookbook, plus a vast collection of others including Junior League and community cookbooks.
We loved: Chicken livers, soft grits, pickled peaches (at Restaurant Eugene); the H&F burger, served only after 10 p.m. (at Holeman & Finch Public House).

    Who is that other chef? That guy is hot. Is he single?

    LOL. I don’t know if he is single, but that is Chef David Bies. He is the chef de cuisine at Eugene. http://www.restauranteugene.com/team.html

    I heard he recently left Eugene.

    That Chef David Bies is single and yes hot! He has taken another management position and I was told he just left and is traveling and searching the world for the culinary delights on several continents. I am certain we will hear more from him.
