Delicious Kabob: BuHi
There is no better evidence of our superior ethnic dining scene than the proliferation of restaurants specializing in sub-cuisines. The newest hotspot is Delicious Kabob (3640 Shallowford Road, 770-457-4948), an off-the-beaten-path restaurant specializing in Northern Chinese and Szechuan dishes. Owner Zhiqiang Zhang hired one of Atlanta’s Chinese superchefs, chef Lu Liu and his partner, chef Beijing Yang to oversee the menu. Chef Liu and chef Yang hail from Northern China as do Zhang and his sister, Shomey, who runs the front of the house. But Liu is an expert at cooking most regional Chinese cuisines and took home the gold in a National Chinese cooking competition. Click here to read the rest…

I went to Delicious Kabob on Saturday, and I can’t wait to return. I had the dry fried eggplant and the dry fried beef from the Szechuan part of the menu. Both dishes were amazing! The woman who worked at the front counter had me try some eggplant before I left because she said they would steam on the way home and she wanted me to try them crispy. I was almost ready to stand right by the door and eat the whole order.

Don’t let the amount of peppers daunt you. The flavor of these dishes is delicious.

Thanks for the tip about Delicious Kabob! We loved it. The only unfortunate thing was that it was dead empty. People, please go to this restaurant so that it doesn’t close down!!

We returned for another visit to Delicious Kabob this weekend however it was closed. Are they just renovating?

I wondered if they were closed or remodeling myself; I drove past last Tuesday, it looked closed, I drove up to the front door…no "open" sign, no sign of life inside, a poorly repaired broken window next to the front door. Perhaps this is like Phnom Penh in Tucker, they closed for a time & returned after remodel following a small fire.

According to, as of today, this place is closed. Anyone know if it's permanent or temporary?
