I have to admit my first visit to Panahar really did not excite me. It took me months to return and I am so glad I did. The Boyfriend was craving some Indian and I suggested Panahar as an alternative. We went and he loved it. We went a week later because we enjoyed out meal so much. We took a bottle of wine (no corkage fee if you want to bring some) and settled into a table. Mirza, the owner, came over to his thing. He always helps every table order…it definitely makes the place stand out in terms of customer service. We started out with some of the halim which is a spicy vegetable and lentil soup. So healthy and filling. I declare this the best bowl of soup in Atlanta.
The BF got a goat dish that he really loved. I liked it even though I am not normally a big fan of the goat. I got the lamb vindaloo which was pretty good but not as good as the last lamb dish (lamb in a green mango and mustard oil sauce)I had there.
We also ordered a pea pilau, the spicy mango chutney (a must if you go) and some naan. Great meal and cheap to boot.
