RESTAURANT REVIEW:
I had the pleasure of dining at Alain Ducasse while in New York on a recent visit. My table had the tasting menu along with the wine pairing. Maybe it was all the wine, but I enjoyed my meal immensely. Here was our menu:
+ Selected garden vegetables, crisp and tender, crushed herbs
+ Wild Alaskan salmon lightly poached, baby leeks, brocoletti, “nage vinaigrette”
+ Seared duck foie gras, rhubarb confit and roasted mango, tangy sauce
+ Line-caught bass, razor and Manila clams, peekytoe crabmeat,
shellfish emulsion
+ Milk fed veal, oven roasted tomatoes, mozzarella, natural jus
+ Cheese, perfectly matured
+ Fine lemon mousse in crunchy layered, grapefruit sorbet, zest juice
Along with this menu, they bombarded us with a cheese cart, dessert/candy cart, and an after-dinner drink cart. As if this was not enough food, they gave us a goodie bags with fresh chocolate brioche and candies. The meal and service were absolutely fabulous. I can’t imagine how good the Paris location is.

@xianechronicles How did I not know you like candy that much? We have so much to discuss.
