4th & Swift now open

Chef Jay Swift (formerly of South City Kitchen) opened the doors of his new restaurant, 4th & Swift, this past weekend. From the restaurant’s website

The menu will be defined by stations of the kitchen presenting both small and large plates in categories such as Wood, Grill and Smoke, Sauté and Braise, Pantry and Bake Shop. The kitchen will offer simply and honestly prepared food from meticulously sourced products including those from all natural, sustainable and local farmers. The offerings from the kitchen will change daily, weekly and seasonally based on the quality and availability of ingredients and seasonal tastes. Jay Swift has created a menu that showcases his personal interpretation of modern comfort food and the bounty of the season.

    Wow – Another ‘American’ restaurant serving the same ol’ stuff. Awesome, how exciting. I never see sausages, mac -n- cheese, arugula salads, and crab cakes anywhere.

    Can’t wait.
